A good pianist who can play along with the vocalist can make or break a performance. Not everyone has the expertise or the ability to either accompany a singer or both play and sing themselves at the same time.

There are so many people with beautiful voices, but unfortunately I am not one of them. When I sing, the birds instantly drop dead from the rooftops. Since I don’t want to be held responsible for whacking out the majority of our feathered friends I don’t even make an attempt anymore producing sounds which resemble a song.
